The combination of orange and blue hues is my favorite these days! I had fun working on this illustration for Total Girl magazine especially because of the dramatic expressions of the characters. I find myself playing more with colors and I would definitely explore more on my next illustrations.

We’ll be celebrating Earth hour once again on March 31st. Don’t forget to turn off your lights from 8pm-9pm on that day!
I really enjoyed illustrating this month’s Total Girl article about Earth hour and how you can have fun with that 1 hour of no lights. For this illustration, I even had to try doing the shadows myself just so I could illustrate it well. It was great being able to play with color values to really showcase the darkness of the night and the light of the candle illuminating the room and the characters.
