For this month’s issue of Total Girl Philippines, here’s another illustration for the “Totally Embarrassing” section. I made this months before the new layout came out so it had to be adjusted to fit in the layout. I really like the original color I used for the background, but I think the edited color (they chose) works fine here.

Though cockroaches are damn too creepy and really gross to examine (for drawing purposes), I enjoyed working on this scene.

Total Girl Philippines is celebrating their 9th anniversary this month. This means a new look for the magazine. I’m still doing the illustrations for the “Totally Embarrassing” section and they alloted a bigger space for this (yay!). It now covers a little over half of the page.

Also, for the new layout of “Totally Embarrassing”, I made icons of different embarrassed or laughing faces for the “Blush o’ Meter” and for the “Blush of the Month” badge as well.

Another illustration I worked on is for the article of the “TG Life Guide” section. This is an Alice-in-Wonderland-inspired scene, showing Alice who grew so much bigger than the other characters.

Oh yes, it’s been two years since my first illustration for Total Girl has been published. 2 years! Time certainly flies too fast. I’m more than thankful for the awesome people from Total Girl for allowing me to be a part of the magazine. This experience helped me grow a lot as an illustrator. To celebrate this, here are my two illustrations for the August issue of Total Girl Philippines.
